ILPDN – stands for Inertia Library Project Document Number. Similar to an ISBN number, an ILPDN is a code used to categorize all entries in the Inertia Library Project (ILP).
All ILPDN numbers take this form x-xx-xxx-xxxxx
- the first number describes the type of entry (article, film, advertisement, packaging…)
- the next two numbers are unique to the person who posted the item in the catalog.
- the next three numbers describe the subject/category of the entry.
- the last five numbers are the unique entry ID. These are issued chronologically.

- advertisement (single/campaign)
- journal article
- magazine/newspaper article
- movie/film
- company/organization
- product
- art exhibit/installation
