ILPDN

Note: this system is still evolving so these rules may (and probably will…) change.

ILPDN – stands for Inertia Library Project Document Number. Similar to an ISBN number, an ILPDN is a code used to categorize all entries in the Inertia Library Project (ILP).

All ILPDN numbers take this form x-xx-xxx-xxxxx

  • the first number describes the type of entry (article, film, advertisement, packaging…)
  • the next two numbers are unique to the person who posted the item in the catalog.
  • the next three numbers describe the subject/category of the entry.
  • the last five numbers are the unique entry ID. These are issued chronologically.

  1. advertisement (single/campaign)
  2. journal article
  3. magazine/newspaper article
  4. movie/film
  5. company/organization
